The Mt. Vernon Men's Wood Bat Softball League is a new recreational league starting up for 2018 as a broader effort to help renew Riverside Park. Community Roots has been invited to join the league by assisting with concessions with a potential effort with Amato's Pizza.
Details have yet to be fleshed out, but early ideas have included having Community Roots volunteers man some of the concession stand shifts during the season, as well as using the stand to also have a small fresh market of Community Roots locally grown produce.
